Health and Life Skills : Garden Program

Garden Program : O'Fallon / St. Peters Location

The Boys & Girls Club of O’Fallon/St. Peters Gardening Program teaches youth that proper nutrition along with physical activity leads to a healthy lifestyle. The gardening program is a unique way of developing interest in healthy eating and nutrition among the youth we serve.

During the Spring, Summer and Fall months, our garden is used as a classroom where youth partake in the physical activity of planting, maintaining, and harvesting fruits and vegetables. These fruits and vegetables are used in cooking classes, nutrition classes and serve as the basis for our Healthy Habits/Triple Play programming during our After School and Summer Camp Sessions.
