Torch and Keystone Club

Torch and Keystone Club empowers youth in four areas: service to Club and community; education; health and fitness; and social recreation. It aims to provide a positive impact on members, the Club and community.

Youth of the Year

Youth of the Year celebrates youth who have overcome enormous odds and demonstrated exceptional character and accomplishments. These deserving young people are recognized for service to their Club and community, academic performance, and contributions to their family. Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Club member can achieve.

The 2011 Boys and Girls Club of St. Charles County Youth of the Year is Timothy Short. Timothy has had to adjust to several schools due to family relocations. Despite his moves, Timothy has maintained his grades and participates in football, basketball and track. He also serves as a tutor and mentor through his school.

Timothy has been a member of the Boys and Girls Club of St. Charles County for seven years. He has been a member of the Torch and Keystone Club. Timothy volunteers in a variety of Club programs including; tutoring, arts and crafts, assisting in the athletic department and games room.

Timothy plans to attend college and seek a degree in law enforcement.
